Use squashfs on an entire partition

Hi everyone!
I install archLinux on my computer with two partitions
sda1 : SWAP
sda2 : /home
What I want to do is transform my partition /dev/sda2 into a squashfs partition (my grub file is inside). And also, authorize some folder to be writable. I already read this .
So I have to patch my kernel in order to make him understand the squashfs filesystem and recompile it. After that I will see a line with squashfs when I will typing /proc/filesystems. Am I right?
The problem is I don't find the patch for squashfs? is it useless? Where I can I find it?

Thanks for your help.
