Having issues with graphics: Can't switch tabs using Catalyst.[SOLVED]

I am running Catalyst with Radeon graphics. So there was a recent update to xorg and catalyst-test. I updated accordingly and when I restarted I realized that when I am running chromium I will have two tabs open but I can't switch between the two.. even with ctrl + TAB. I am running i3 and I also have xfce4 installed. Both xfce4 and i3 have similar behavior, moreso with xfce4. I don't see any graphical anomalies or anything that suggests there is some damage to my GPU so I think this is related to catalyst or maybe the compositor? Has anyone else had this problem before?

Have you downgraded both the X.org and Catalyst packages you're running and then tested upgrading each individually to see if you can pin it to a particular package?

I'm on Cinnamon and I don't have such behaviour with Chromium.

I have xorg-server and xorg-server-common installed at version 1.15.2-1. I'm using Vi0l0's repository.

Okay... That doesn't tell me much...

Can you post the part of /var/log/pacman.log at the time you did the upgrade please?

Also, could you have a look at the X.org logs and the Journal to see if there might be any relevant information please?

Well I upgraded to the newest xorg-server and xorg-server-common and it is doing the same thing as before. I reinstalled catalyst-test and its the same thing. The only thing I upgraded recently was the kernel and xorg.

So I just switched over to the open source driver and I have the same behavior, so it cannot be the drivers. Also, I have tried the downgraded xorg as well as the newest xorg packages and I still get the same behavior. I have no idea what could be causing this otherwise as dmesg and everything else returns nothing of value. The only other thing that was updated recently I'll add is polkit.

All I did was switch my mouse to another USB port and it fixed everything. I just hope there isn't some underlying hardware problem somewhere. Thanks for the help.

I thought I was losing my mind for a second. My friend asked me if I had some hardware issues like a mouse or a keyboard or some faulty connection somewhere. That was when I switched the USB ports. I switched back to the same port again and its not the port, its working just fine. I think what happened was there was a new kernel update and that caused my mouse to have issues for some reason I can't pinpoint.
