Hi all,
I am currently struggling with my wifi setup. I have an Intel 6205 AGN card in my x220t laptop. I am already a long time user of linux and just yesterday noticed that this wifi card is supposed to support 40MHz channel bonding on 2.4GHz networks. Under windows this works fine and I get data rates of up to 300mbps. But using arch I only get the 144mbps (checked multiple times and also under load). So I am using the n standard (I also verified this on my router) but only with the 20MHz channel width (the router does have this information in its logs). I am using NetworkManager and whatever kernel parameters I tried (11n_disable=0 or 1 or 8, swcrypto=0 or 1) I never am able to use the 40MHz channel width. Do you have any suggestions what could be wrong here and what I could try to get the full speed?
Thanks in advance,
Peter (coolmast)
