[SOLVED] Archiso trouble

Hi

I'm trying to create my custom ISO.

I followed related Wiki page : https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/archiso

but

BASELINE :
created iso without problems
RELENG :
after some time I always get "cp: cannot stat ‘work/x86_64/airootfs/boot/intel-ucode.img’: No such file or directory"
I tried many times, deleting the base folder
I tried also with another installation ( same computer ) but with same result.

The "host" was in both installations x86_64, updated and rebooted befofe starting "archiso installation"

What's the problem  ????

Re: [SOLVED] Archiso trouble

Do you have intel processor?  You probably need to add the intel-ucode package to your iso and build the initramfs it is looking for.
Have you tried PXE (even archiso will boot PXE clients)?  With PXE you can run a fully installed Arch over many diskless clients statelessly on IP and NFS.

Re: [SOLVED] Archiso trouble

Hi

Yes I have an Intel Core Duo ....

Ahhrgggg it only needed intel-ucode  to "packages.both" now I have my ISO

I wasted a LOOOOOTTTTT of time for nothing :-((((((((

I suggest to add to WIKI a note for that !!

But why BASELINE doesen't need that ?

Thank you nomorewindows :-*

Re: [SOLVED] Archiso trouble

The intel-ucode change is recent.

Re: [SOLVED] Archiso trouble

Hi !

I followed the archwiki method steps, youtube method and other sites nearly 3 times but I was only able to generate a small .img file of about 20 mb !
What's most frustrating is that all seems to be ok...and then flops !!!!
I have installed archlinux on an external laptop hdd in a usb slim casing. Is it the reason why I am unable to create a customized iso ?

Thank you in advance for your help

Hi carongangoo,

You should create a new thread for this problem, and you should include more details about the problem/your setup/etc.
