Well I spent two hours writing and testing for a long and detailed report on my issue but the fucking website auto logged me out and locked me out of the board on submit so I lost it all. And I am very frustrated because of it. I need to get to bed soon so I will make this dumbed down for the website and quick for the fucking unnecessary auto log off.
I have an HP Mini 110-3700 laptop. I like Quake III (iOQuakeIII). This issue isn't present in other fps games like Quake (Quakespasm) or Quake II (Yamagi Q2).
The mouse works with freelook fantastically, the mouse clicks are non-responsive. Sometimes it is responsive, others no input is detected and others the weapon keeps firing non-stop.
Firing from a key on keyboard work fantastically, wiring key press to mouse click could be backup solution though would be a pain.
Will go into more detail upon request.
Does anyone know what is wrong?
EDIT: also forgot to mention that when not in fullscreen everything works, but I cannot afford any larger than 640x480 and I have problems seeing enemies on such a small window.

I have ticked the 'Log me in automatically each time I visit.' setting to avoid such issues.
It's best to make sure you won't lose that long e-mail / post / bug report when e.g. the system crashes by writing it in an editor with autosave function enabled.
Anything interesting in the logs? When you start the game from the terminal, do you get any relevant output?

Well good thing I know now. That was the first time I had ever logged in, and I am also relatively new to any forum, so it took me by surprise. Thanks for the tips.
I didn't even think to check the terminal. I repeatedly got the error "com_QueueEvent: overflow". Looking this up, I notice others have mouse issues as well, though not the same, because of this error so I figured they went hand in hand. The threads were from five years ago, many of which claimed was the fault of an "SDL DLL" which being on Linux and new to it as well I have no idea how to mend. I decided to downgrade from the git version of IOQuakeIII to the 'stable' release from 2009, and what do you know, it worked. Thanks for leading me in the right direction.
