CUPS "Filter failed" when trying to print

I have an raspberry pi running ArchPi (forgot if that's the right name or not, but the arch port to the raspi). I have installed CUPS, and Gutenprint. I have tried printing simple text with two different printers, a Cannon IP2700, which is the one I'm planning on using, and a HP LaserJet 1010. Both work under Windows as expected, but when I try on my raspi I get the message "Filter failed" when I check the CUPS web interface. I have tried finding a explanation to why this is happening, and some solutions, but have come nowhere. PS I have cups-filter installed, and it's up to date, just like CUPS (I installed it a few hours ago).
