Wacom Bamboo tablet + gnome 3 = xorg crash

That's a new one for me:
If I plug in the wacom tablet I get a nice segfault of X. I've never used the tablet with this laptop before (Lenovo X1 Carbon) so I can't tell you if that's a first.
I've tried various solutions but none of them really worked.
I've also noticed that the xf86-input-wacom has been rewritten which might be the thing that causes problems right now.

Here is a bit of logs from X:

http://pastebin.com/6UQqWU0s

As you might see the only error (EE) I see is the following:

[ 1556.611] (II) intel(0): switch to mode 2560x1440@60.0 on eDP1 using pipe 0, position (0, 0), rotation normal, reflection none
[ 1556.614] (EE) intel(0): failed to set mode: Permission denied [13]
[ 1556.614] (WW) intel(0): failed to restore desired modes on VT switch
[ 1556.614] (EE) intel(0): sna_mode_check: invalid state found on pipe 0, disabling CRTC:7

which does happen on normal conditions as well. So I don't know if that really matters TBH.

Secondly, when plugging in the tablet, I get the kernel module loaded and lsusb displaying it correctly.
So I wonder what the heck big_smile

Much help very appreciated.
