Re: Current path of Arch scaring me

I'd say seeking credit is the very opposite of the open source philosophy. Better to do things and hope no-one knows its you.... if you want credit, get into academia, its a great place to argue over who discovered what principle first, who got published first, who wiped their ass first, etc.

Re: Current path of Arch scaring me

While a thank you shouldn't be expected, offering one doesn't hurt once in a while.
Thanks dibble.

wink even though I dont use the bloody driver.

ps. saying thanks and saying "I wrote python" when you didn't.. well, I can see why dibble said something. Yet, it was clearly a misunderstanding of verbiage..as it seems iphitus meant "to the main repos", while dibble meant "to a repo"...

I say this one goes under the rug..as it started as a misunderstanding..and can only go downhill from there. smile

I invented this thread, and I think it's gone OT. Maybe time to lock?

Penguin said something snotty and I edited it so he wouldn't feel bad for being the only one to abuse his powers. :-D
