can't get a node application to run

Well, I am trying to get soundbounce, an alternative to the now defunct soundrop, up and running

Someone on its bugtracker has successfully managed to make it start, but I just can't get it to work.
https://github.com/pdaddyo/soundbounce/issues/114

Is there something arch specific going on here or am I doing something wrong?
All information is in the link, including my setup.

But anyway, recapture what I did:

- cloned the repository
- installed nw-gyp from aur.
- installed nodewebkit from aur (but changed version to 0.8.6)
- changed to the node-spotify-master folder.
- ran the nw-gyp configure and nw-gyp build commands.
- placed the app.key file into appropriate folder.
- tried to run it

and then it complains about missing libspotify, which was supposed to get installed with the nw-gyp commands.

He hoped and prayed that there wasn't an afterlife. Then he realized there was a contradiction involved here and merely hoped that there wasn't an afterlife.
