I have a lot of problems with acpid after the last update from mid December in the same way as mentioned in this post: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=191029
systemd[1]: Cannot add dependency job for unit acpid.socket, ignoring: Unit acpid.socket failed to load: No such file or directory.
Though the difference is, that I do not have atievents installed and I am not quiet sure which unit is looking for acpid.socket (and in terms of the solution addressed in the other post where I can replace the dependency with acpid.service)

What requires acpid.socket? In the other thread it was atieventsd.service https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 2#p1484182
Edit: I think we got it the other way round. The other thread is about atieventsd.service requiring acpid.socket. In your case it's acpid.socket trying to do something, but it cannot, since it doesn't exist.

Do you have acpid.socket itself enabled, maybe ? In that case you could just disable it.
