Hey Guys!
How to install seti@home in the cron of al?
just adding the line as it written in the readme won't work
Here's the part of the readme:
If you want setiathome to be started automatically, you can set up a cron job. Add the following line to your crontab:
0 * * * * cd <setidir>; ./setiathome -nice 19 > /dev/null 2> /dev/null
has anybody seti running?

ArchLinux does NOT use the pseudo-standard vixie cron daemon, but a more simplicistic implementation which does not support certain things vixie does. For details on this, check the crond and crontab manpages, and as a workaround in your actual case, stuff the cron commands (yes, there are multiple commands) into a small script, and execute this from your crontab. IIRC, the cron daemon does not seem to parse multiple commands and descriptor redirections.
