Hi all,
I recently discovered that I can force my logitech QuickCam Deluxe to do automatic exposure control by opening guvcview. However it always defaults back to no auto exposure control, which means very dark video in Skype. I've read that I could use uvcdynctrl to set the exposure to "auto priority" via the command line (and I could put that in a startup script for skype).
Here's my problem: How do I get uvcdynctrl?
Apparently it's part of libwebcam? when I try to install libwebcam via aur I get the following error:
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
libwebcam: /lib exists in filesystem
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
==> WARNING: Your packages are saved in /tmp/yaourt-tmp-leftyConflicting with all of /lib seems like a serious problem :-P
From the package aur site it looks like it's kind of orphaned. Is there a better way to control exposure via the command line? Any ideas are much appreciated!
