Hello everyone !
I've recently installed Archlinux and, after some trouble, managed to set up a KDE environment that works about fine. I do have one problem left though : I can't seem to get a French layout on my keyboard for X, even though localectl tells me my layout is fr-pc.
sylvarant% localectl status
System Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8
VC Keymap: fr-pc
X11 Layout: fr-pcThe first thing I tried to do was trying to set it using localectl : here's the synopsis from the man.
localectl set-x11-keymap layout [model] [keymap] [options]However autocompletion from the zsh shell seems to indicate set-x11-keymap expects a model first (output below), so I backed off and tried to go through the graphical interface. It worked correctly while my computer was running, but I rebooted and it doesn't work anymore.
sylvarant% localectl set-x11-keymap f
flexpro fscaa1667g
sylvarant% localectl list-x11-keymap-models | grep fl
compalfl90
flexproNow, the locales seem to be set fine and the layout is properly configured in TTY. Do you have any idea why this happens and any fix to it ?
Thank you for the time you've spent reading this.

Did you try this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/KDE#Set_keyboard

Yes, I did. It worked fine until I rebooted ; now it seems to be set at fr-pc (at least it doesn't offer me to apply changes any more). Keyboard layout is still obviously qwerty-like.
EDIT : okay, so after saying this I re-edited that file and it turns out I had filled it with gibberish. Works fine now. Sorry about this, and thank you for your help.
