Hi,
I recently updated to kernel version 3.18.2-2-ARCH and now I'm getting about 50 times per second this message in journalctl:
Jan 16 17:59:45 linux kernel: wlp2s0: Limiting TX power to 30 (30 - 0) dBm as advertised by ...
I start wifi manually with wpa_supplicant:
wpa_supplicant -iwlp2s0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf -Dnl80211 -B
Anyone knows, what causes this? how can I stop it? is this an error or just normal debugging logging? it never appeared in such amounts before though.
thanks
I forgot to say: this is on a notebook with the following wifi adapter:
Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6235

I downgraded to kernel 3.17.6-1, and the problem is gone: there is exactly ONE such message after successfully connecting to the access point, and not 50+ times per second the same message, as happens with arch linux kernel 3.18.2-2.
So this is probably a kernel regression introduced with the latest kernel.
Anyone else having this problem
Thanks.

With kernel 3.18.5 the problem is gone!
Thanks
