Fonts in KDE applications

After I upgraded to xorg7 I have a problem regarding the fonts in some applications running in KDE. I have selected a theme, and chose some font size for toolbars and such, but applications like gaim, thunderbird and firefox does not care about the sizes I have set. Do I have to make some other changes for that to work? Every application I ran before upgrading adhered to the font sizes I had chosen...

Hi Cogo,
these applications are based on the gtk toolkit so the changes made to kde don't affect them.  Usually I install the package gtk-qt-engine
to accomplish this task.

 pacman -S gtk-qt-engine

The problem is the driver I am using. I need to use the fglrx driver because the ati or radeon drivers makes my computer hang after the xorg7 upgrade.

The weird thing is that I tried the ati and radeon driver yesterday, and when running them, all applications uses the fonts that I have specified in the kde theme, but when I use the fglrx driver, only kde applications use the font sizes I have chosen...
