[SOLVED]netctl, delete profile

Hi

How to delete a netctl profile?
I did

# netctl stop oldprofile

then

# rm /etc/netctl/oldprofile

but running

# netctl list
oldprofile
...

the oldprofile is still there.

Thank you for reading.

You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen.
Do not even listen, simply wait, be quiet, still and solitary.
The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet.

Re: [SOLVED]netctl, delete profile

If it was enabled, there is probably still a service in /etc/systemd/system and a symlink to that in /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.

Re: [SOLVED]netctl, delete profile

So much for that. Have you rebooted? Maybe the profile is just cached.

I didn't rebooted. I can't reboot currently, waiting for file to be downloaded, will reboot after the download will be finished (> 50 minutes).

edit:
It was totaly my mistake. Instade of # rm oldprofile I did #mv oldprofile oldprofile.backup
and then

# netctl list
oldprofile.backup
...

I didn't notice the .backup
I am sorry for the confussion.

But now as a revenge the God of computers is punishing me with

connect: Network is unreachable

sad

appendidg solved for this thread.
