[SOLVED]What is the use of Gnome-Keyring really?

I have installed a new Arch Linux recently and trying to understand what Gnome-Keyring really does? I am using a lightweight approach with PekWM but using Network Manager for Wireless and Wired networks.

Okay it is a program to that stores password and for reaching that passwords you have to use another password. But.. What is the practical use? For which applications i would need it for? I launch the Seahorse program there is a Passwords tab and inside of it a "Login" entry which is locked. When i unlock it there is nothing inside.

Maybe it is good for storing SSH passwords but beside that i don't how to use it.

You may find that you need it to use NetworkManager -- see these threads:
