broadcom-wl on BCM43142 5GHz not working

Hi everyone! I'm using this BCM43142 with the AUR driver broadcom-wl-dkms.
Does anyone knows how to use this card in 5GHz mode? My router works on both 2.4 and 5GHz mode. If I try for example

sudo iwconfig wlp3s0 channel 100

it says

Error for wireless request "Set Frequency" (8B04) :
SET failed on device wlp3s0 ; Operation not supported.

Does it even supports 5GHz mode? The card seems to support it but I don't know if the driver support it as well:

iwlist wlp3s0 freq
wlp3s0 32 channels in total; available frequencies :
          Channel 01 : 2.412 GHz
          Channel 02 : 2.417 GHz
          Channel 03 : 2.422 GHz
          Channel 04 : 2.427 GHz
          Channel 05 : 2.432 GHz
          Channel 06 : 2.437 GHz
          Channel 07 : 2.442 GHz
          Channel 08 : 2.447 GHz
          Channel 09 : 2.452 GHz
          Channel 10 : 2.457 GHz
          Channel 11 : 2.462 GHz

Re: broadcom-wl on BCM43142 5GHz not working

according to this, only 2.4 is supported by the driver

Re: broadcom-wl on BCM43142 5GHz not working

Since this wireless nic works well with linux-firmware from linux 4.X, I cannot find the solution to get 5GHz work well.
But I found another solution to get this work, maybe.
First, download a package from this URL:
http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/publ … nvOid=4192
then unzip the .exe, copy and rename the file ended with _US.txt to brcm43241b4-sdio.txt, and use this as the NVRAM of bcm43241 FW.
Finally, change region to your country, and get 5GHz work, so does AP Mode in 5GHz.

Hope that this solution helps you.
