[SOLVED] Cannot start X in VirtualBox

I have ArchLinux installed in VirtualBox.

  • I have installed virtualbox-guest-utils

  • I launch

    modprobe vboxguest vboxsf vboxvideo
  • I have not installed any xf86-video* drivers

  • I don't have anything in /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d

  • I have

    exec openbox-session

    in my .xinitrc

    When I launch

    startx

    as root my system hangs.

Here is a screenshot of VirtualBox at this moment http://imagebin.ca/v/1qLN731oPtiG

    Here  is a Xorg.log http://snipurl.com/29o5g0h

Next I have installed xf86-video-vesa.  The system now hangs as before, but Xorg.log slighty changed http://snipurl.com/29o5jqb

How can I launch X on my virtual machine ?

Re: [SOLVED] Cannot start X in VirtualBox

I have 3 files in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d:

  • 10-evdev.conf

  • 10-quirks.conf

  • nvidia-drm-outputclass.conf

I was tryied to move it temporary, but the system hangs anymore.
