Radeon DPM/mclk value

Hi,

I've run into this issue in the past and was never able to figure it out.

When running a refresh rate / resolution combination which requires a bit more "umph" from the graphic card, default memory clocks when low can cause artifacting on the desktop.  This can be fixed by changing the mclk of the low power state to a higher value.

I can't figure out how to change the dpm profiles... I know dpm is on, I can see it switch states properly.

I'd appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

Re: Radeon DPM/mclk value

For now I switched to using the "high" performance level.  This seems to have only bumped up the mclk (to max value).  So it should be ok.  GPU temp did go from ~40 idle to ~50 so I'm guessing voltages were also bumped up.

Used

#echo high > /sys/class/drm/card0/device/power_dpm_force_performance_level
