I have a Brother DCP-J132W printer which I have successfully set up on one Arch computer, and I'm trying to set it up now on a new one. I installed and started CUPS as per the instructions on the Wiki, and I downloaded the PPD file from the Brother support website. I added the printer to CUPS as an LPD printer, using its IP address (rather than node name). When I try to print a test page, the printer's job status says, "Copying print data." Then, my printer's readout changes to, "Receiving data," as it usually does, and the job status changes to "Spooling job, XX% complete..." (a different number every time). After another few seconds, the printer reverts to the home screen and CUPS says the job completed successfully. The twist: Nothing actually printed. Nothing is added to /var/logs/cups/error_log. Any ideas?
