Re: please help with ceton_infinitv [solved]

What files are in /usr/lib/modules/3.18.6-1-ARCH/extramodules ?

look at tree  /usr/lib/modules/3.18.6-1-ARCH/extramodules
ceton-infinitv is from the AUR.  What files are does it provide?  Look in the pkg tree of your build directory.  If.  If.  IF. iff  (this is if, and only if) -- there are no file conflicts, this may be a an example of where one might consider using --force

Re: please help with ceton_infinitv [solved]

/usr/lib/modules/3.18.6-1-ARCH/extramodules appears to be  a symlink to /usr/lib/modules/extramodules-3.18-ARCH .

The error is probably caused by the pacman 4.2 change in handling directory symlinks.

The ceton_infinitv packages will likely have to be changed to put the modules in /usr/lib/modules/extramodules-3.18-ARCH .

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

That solved the problem, the only warning it gave me was. but now the module is detected.

 depmod: Warning: -e needs -E or -F

I just changed the path in the package
