NetworkManager wifi/wired issue

Hello everyone,

Here's the issue I'm having: when I connect a cable to my laptop, I switch off wifi using an applet. It's easy and n ot worth talking about. But the problem is, that after a few moments it switches on the wifi again (this breaks my ongoing downloads, etc.).
How should I forbid NetworkManager automatically switching to wifi, when a cable is connected?

Thank you in advance!

Re: NetworkManager wifi/wired issue

Even after you turn it off physically ? You should have a physical switch somwhere on the laptop which should disable the wifi physically and than simply will be inexsistent until you enable it agin - this is the short track

otherwise you simply debug both applet and networkmanager and try to understand what's enabling it back, and how can you disable that option, and maybe there are other conflicting applications.
Check also dispatcher.d , it maybe has some script which is causing this.

Re: NetworkManager wifi/wired issue

My laptop does not have a physical wifi switch - only the FN one. However, thank you for your hints.

Re: NetworkManager wifi/wired issue

What happens if you block the wifi using rfkill?

I put at button on it. Yes. I wish to press it, but I'm not sure what will happen if I do.  (Gune | Titan A.E.)
