Subwoofer Asus laptop not working

Hi,

I recently bought an Asus N551JQ laptop which comes with a external subwoofer (SonicMaster). At first the sound didn't work at all (the internal speakers also didn't work), but the internal speakers do work when creating a /etc/modprove.d/alsa.conf file containing:

options snd-hda-intel model=asus-mode4

But the external subwoofer still doesn't work. I tried multiple solutions (all based on PulseAudio), but none seem to work. Some which I tried are:

Using Alsa patch for pins
Using different configurations for the PulseAudio mappings. Like this one (or from above thread)

But all without any luck. So I hope someone here can help
