[SOLVED] prevent to load display manager out of grub

Hello,

I am using plasma 5 with the sddm manager.
I installed a few xf86-input* packages and now when I try to boot, it freezes up.

Can I give a command out of grub so the sddm daemon is not started, and I get a terminal so I can fix everything?

thanks

Specifically see the following:

wiki wrote:

systemd.unit=multi-user     Boot to a specified runlevel.
systemd.unit=rescue     Boot to single-user mode (root).
