I cann't find my wireless card after installation.[SOLVED]

I can find anything about wireless. No info in lspci , no info in dmesg. Only Ethernet and enp3s0. Someone please tell me what's the matter with it?

Re: I cann't find my wireless card after installation.[SOLVED]

1. A big bad monster ate it and nothing we can help hmm
2. Any mode details: paste lspci and lsusb output (don't forget tags). You can try to install inxi to list all hardware in text mode. If you have laptop or brand PC - what is the model?

Re: I cann't find my wireless card after installation.[SOLVED]

Does the card show up in the `lspci` output in a different (live) distribution?

Have you checked the card is seated/connected properly?

Did the card work during the installation process?

Are you building this as a virtual machine using something like VMware or VirtualBox?

Firstly, Thank you for you reply.

I found the wireless card should be : Intel wireless 1000 bgn. But I found nothing about it with lspci and only Ethernet appeared.

I also lsusb, but nothing about the wireless card too.

I install it in laptop(Hasee, which is a Chinese brand. I don't think you heard it.)

The first time I install arch into it, whose previous os is win7, and everything was fine. I used the wifi-menu. But afterwards, I just could not find  the wireless card.

And I have to install it with wired network.

Nope, actually I installed it in Vbox and everything was fine.

I can not find it in the output of lspci, but Ethernet.

I check the wireless card with the ArchISO before installation with HardWare detection which told me the exact name of wireless card. So I think it is seated well. But it didn't work during the installation process.

I found no Wlan0 interface and only ethernet enp3s0 during the installation.

Re: I cann't find my wireless card after installation.[SOLVED]

Try loading a different distribution in "live" mode and check the `lscpi` output in that distribution.

Your card may have stopped working.

What is "HardWare detection"?

Nope, actually I installed it in Vbox and everything was fine.

The reason I had asked about whether it was installed in VM is because the wireless jardware won't show up inside a VM.  Onlly a wired NIC will show up.  What happens is the host either provides bridging or NAT from whatever interface is available (wired or wireless) on the host to the virtual "Wired" NIC in the VM.   But, you say everything was fine inside Vbox, and now I am really confused.  You definetly would not see the wireless itterface inside the Vbox environment.

Re: I cann't find my wireless card after installation.[SOLVED]

OK - first important thing we know it is one of http://www.hasee.com/en/ laptops. Now would be great if you can let us know which model it is (we even can't guess what card is in it). Second - paste on pastebin your lspci -v and lsusb no matter if you can see anything there. You can use any other livecd eg. Ubuntu and compare the results as Head_on_a_Stick suggested.
Edit:
Haven't seen above - could you also pastebin lsmod -if the module is not auto loaded by kernel - it could be the reason.

Re: I cann't find my wireless card after installation.[SOLVED]

Centrino. Now there's a name I haven't heard in a very long time.

Anyway,it seems possible your card is the old Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1000.

The driver for this is iwldwm, which is compiled as a module in the Arch stock kernel. The firmware should be provided by the linux-firmware package (which replaces the old iwlwifi-1000-ucode package).

See here for more details:

https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/use … rs/iwlwifi

Please run

lsmod | grep iwl

and tell us what you get.

I will try install other distro later.

Hardware detection , I mean I use the hardware information of ArchISO which has hardware information tools.

This may be a language barrier, but no one is suggesting you install another distro. You should be able to boot with a live usb stick, e.g. the Arch usb installer, to do some diagnostics.

Sorry, I did not express it clearly. I mean I installed it in vbox and everything was fine. But now I install it in a laptop and I got this problem.

I will read it. And I got nothing when I run

lsmod | grep iwl

And I paste the lsmod below.

Thank you for your time.

Is it enabled via a hardware switch/Fn key?

I think so. I push F2 during the bootup process and open the bios interface and saw the wireless swich is on. Do you mean this?

Re: I cann't find my wireless card after installation.[SOLVED]

Usually you can disable WiFi on a laptop either by pressing one of the Fn keys (Fn key + one of the keys from the top row, look for a WiFi icon there) or by using a switch which is present somewhere on the case, usually at the front.

I have found any sort of switch you mean. In the Arch, the Fn keys will behave as in windows? Any way I tried it and it didn't work.

You mean "Qualcomm Atheros AR8131 Gigabit Ethernet"?

Re: I cann't find my wireless card after installation.[SOLVED]

If you can't find the particular information in the search enginges that will solve the issue, download and compile the compat drivers from source code. If the compat drivers are not working properly your best bet will be ndiswrapper.

These are my primary 3 steps to make any wireless/wifi card/chipset working, good luck.
