Re: Netctl still not connecting

did you get exactly the same error failure message?

you can also check journalctl for more information on the failure

jorunalctl -u network-wireless@wlp2s0

Re: Netctl still not connecting

The results from journalctl:

Mar 12 15:38:56 archbox wpa_supplicant[1791]: Successfully initialized wpa_supplicant
Mar 12 15:38:56 archbox wpa_supplicant[1791]: Failed to open config file '/etc/wpa_supplicant/Network_I_Am_Connecting_To', error: No such file or directory
Mar 12 15:38:56 archbox wpa_supplicant[1791]: Failed to read or parse configuration '/etc/wpa_supplicant/Network_I_Am_Connecting_To'.
Mar 12 15:38:56 archbox systemd[1]: network-wireless@wlp2s0.service: main process exited, code=exited, status=255/n/a
Mar 12 15:38:56 archbox systemd[1]: Failed to start Wireless network connectivity (wlp2s0).
Mar 12 15:38:56 archbox systemd[1]: Unit network-wireless@wlp2s0.service entered failed state.
Mar 12 15:38:56 archbox systemd[1]: network-wireless@wlp2s0.service failed.

Yeah, code exited.
But what's this? "Failed to open config file"? I must have done something wrong. I only copied the file generated by

#wpa_passphrase ssid "passphrase" > filename

into /etc/wpa_supplicant.

Looks like I have to go back and make an acutal config file.

Re: Netctl still not connecting

Because this thread has deviated so much from it's original purpose, I'm going to make another thread for my issue regarding systemctl.
