did you get exactly the same error failure message?
you can also check journalctl for more information on the failure
jorunalctl -u network-wireless@wlp2s0

Yeah, code exited.
But what's this? "Failed to open config file"? I must have done something wrong. I only copied the file generated by
#wpa_passphrase ssid "passphrase" > filename
into /etc/wpa_supplicant.
Looks like I have to go back and make an acutal config file.
