Hello! I've been experiencing some issues with my wifi lately. The situation is as follows.
I have a TP-link USB dongle conected to my desktop computer. My laptop is just next to it. The computer is running Arch with this driver https://github.com/pvaret/rtl8192cu-fixes installed with DKMS. Laptop is just running almost stock Lubuntu.
The thing is, when I go to speedtest.net to test for the speed of my internet connection, laptop gives 40ms ping, 6.83mbps down and 0.74mbps up, which is not perfect but it is a lot closer to what my ISP promises than Arch, which is responding with at best 2mbps download speed and ping at ~800ms. This results have been consistent over time: desktop with Arch is always performing far worse than laptop with Lubuntu.
As I said, computers are right next to each other. Didn't seem to have this problem before. Is there any logical reason why this could be happening?
This is the output of iwconfig on desktop.

What about lsusb and lsmod?

Does the Ubuntu port you installed work better than the aur pkgbuild at https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/8192cu-dkms/

Can you please compare the speed of the laptop and the desktop while using the tp-link dongle both times?
Edit: By the way, rtl8192cu is in kernel 3.19, maybe that is more stable. If you feel adventurous you might try that or a compile 3.18 with backports.
