[SOLVED] XFCE 4.12 upgrade problems

i was using XFCE 4.10 and everything worked great. i upgraded last night and now when i first X the XFCE menu panel takes 30 to 60 seconds to show up where as before it was instant. anyone know why this is going on? its not my computers speed cuz i've got a great machine.

I was having a similar problem after upgrading to 4.12. The panel would show up when I logged in, but it was taking about 40 seconds for anything to appear on the panel.

In my case, when I changed the icon I was using for the panel's Application Menu button, the problem went away, the panel and all its buttons now show up right away when I log in. Xfce 4.12 doesn't like something about that particular icon image, but I'm not sure what it is. I hope that for you it's something as simple as this.
