[SOLVED] Konsole freezes on startup

Since yesterday, whenever I open konsole, it freezes: I cannot write on it, nor close it normally. I did not do anything special lately, it just stopped working.

I don't use KDE as desktop environment, I use awesome. I removed my ~/.kde4 directory and nothing changed.

Do you know what can I try in order for it to work normally again?

Re: [SOLVED] Konsole freezes on startup

Do you have something in the logs?
You could run xterm and launch konsole from there to see what messages are output.
Konsole is from kf5 now and uses ~/.config rather than ~/.kde4 .

Re: [SOLVED] Konsole freezes on startup

I solved the issue by removing the lock file in ~/.config/.
I did not know there was such a lock file. Orobably the fact that konsole was totally blocked by the lock file without a message, not even in the standard output, is a bug. Have you ever experienced something like this?
