Hi, i was just trying to install skype-restricted (skype with a dedicated user, that is), but when starting it, i only get a small black window, and
can't do anything ... any suggestions ?
I'm using a simple X setup with awesome ...
BTW, i can't really make apulse32 work, either ...

Did you install it from the AUR? If so, read the last (topmost) comment https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/skype-restricted/ :
Skype-restricted doesn't work anymore with the latest update of the xserver.
Add this in either the /usr/bin/skype shell script or somewhere else to fix it:
xhost +local:_skype

hmm i tried that as well, and i also tried the manual version ... both without success ...
BTW, there's already one xhost line ... do i have to replace that one, or add the abovementioned one ??
