Hey guys I am realli a newbie to linux. Started using Arch linux from last year since than the experience was amazing. My Arch worked at lightning speed, Im using xfce4. Resently my system has slowed down very much!! Every button click causes a lag. I tired everything from the arch maintainence page, didnt help! Boot time is around 20s with 700 processes starting.. Guys plzz help me.. Thanks alottt

Maybe you should tell us whether you are running a server or a desktop
Are you running Xorg
What window manger / desktop environment are you using?
What are those 700 processes? Post them to a pastebin like place using wgetpaste and give us the link

I dont knw if this fixed the problem, But i uninstalled mozilla firefox and replaced it with chromium. I also added a swap partition of 4GB. System seems kindda smooth now.
