X-develop review!

Just a simple review for the only C# IDE on linux:

pros:- Support Java, C# (1 & 2) and VB.NET
- Runtime code analysis (very helpful!)
- Refactorying.. My first day with it, can't judge the quality
- Good performance compared to VS.NET 2005 and Intellij IDEA.
- Convenient UI. Hotkeys to hide/switch all panels.
- Automatic code formating after paste.
- Solution/project is fully compatible with VS.NET 2003/2005cons:- No support for XML and ASP.NET (?!?!!)
- Primitive text editor, no macro, no unicode support.
- Version control doesn't support log and svn properties.
- Proprietary software, otherwise I'd have been writing extensions to it...The AUR package is here, you can use it freely for 20 days (however my launch script resets it everyday tongue)

I'll not pay until they add support for ASP.NET & XML, planned in 2.0 smile

Or a complete IDE.. (no intention to insult smile) I'm not sure what's the goal of MonoDevelop.  If it just wants to be SharpDevelop for linux, it will make itself a big joke to those Java counterparts.

Re: X-develop review!

one more cons:
- It calls svn command directly, which takes forever to make connection with HTTPS. However JavaSVN and SmartSVN work just fine....

Re: X-develop review!

Hmm, what about eclipse? Are there no extensions for it which provide this functionality?
