I can't get wowlan to work.
hwinfo says, I have an Atheros AR9462 Wireless Network Adapter and I found out with some googling that wowlan is supported by this device. Still
iw phy phy0 info does not show anything wowlan-related, and accordingly,
iw phy phy0 wowlan show and
iw phy phy0 wowlan enable don't work:
command failed: Operation not supported (-95) Thanks for your help

Even if the hardware supports it, the module also need to support it. ![]()
About WoL:
- It's them hard to get it to work for some devices
- BIOS may need a bit of tweaking
- Not 100% reliable, better of with a low powered device

I'm not sure, what a module is, but the way you said it makes it sound like it's a thing I can't do much about
Thank you though

According to https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/drivers/ath9k, ath9k module supports wowlan.

That sounds good. Do you have an idea why I can't enable it the way I wrote before?
I already checked the bios and didn't find anything. There are also guides for windows 7 on the web for similar devices that don't involve entering the bios.
