Aterm transparency prob
My aterm transparency flakes out after minimizing it. Or if I place a window on top of it, like a browser for example. Anyone else experienced this?

If u want, u can try Eterm with:
Eterm --buttonbar off --scrollbar off -f white -O
That looks like ur Aterm and works fine...
Not a solution, but a alternative.

that's really strange -- aterm transparency stays for me whether minimized, changed size, or windows on top (xfce4). what desktop and video card drivers are you using?

I was using openbox. Iirc, it worked fine in all other wm's. And I was running aterm +sb -tr.

tried this out in fluxbox and in gnome 2.14.. same result.

I know this thread is a couple weeks old but I'm having the exact same problem, only mine is with urxvt 
I'm running openbox as well.
Have you found a solution yet?

I switched from aterm to terminal.. thats the only solution I could find..

I was having the same problem in openbox (and urxvt) while setting my background with imagemagick's display command. Setting my background with feh solved it.

Aterm works fine for me. I'm using Fluxbox and feh.
