Screen Tearing and OpenGL problem.

Installed ArchLinux for the first time and also installed KDE. I'm able to launch KDE (startx) but I have terrible screen tearing and an issue with OpenGL not staying selected inside of Desktop Effects > Advanced. It keeps switching back to XRender.

I'm running an Nvidia GTX 760 with the 346.59 drivers and KDE version 5.8.

Any suggestions for getting OpenGL settings to save so they dont revert to XRender and also suggestions on getting screen tearing to stop?

For the tearing: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NV … .28KWin.29

As to why it switches back to XRender, no idea

Re: Screen Tearing and OpenGL problem.

I've already tried the fix you sent in that link by creating kwin.sh and making it executable but "export __GL_YIELD="USLEEP"" does not fix the issue.
