Yesterday I managed to get Arch installed. Go me. I can connect to wifi, but I have to go into XFCE's network settings, enter the WPA2 password there, and then connect via nm-applet. If I just select the network in nm-applet nothing happens. This isn't a game-ending issue, but it is a bit weird. Any reason this is happening? I don't exactly know what you need for this issue because I just came from Ubuntu (it started feeling like OSX), so I guess I'm still a noob.

It might be that you need to install gnome-keyring.

Glad that helped. Hope you enjoy Arch. I've learned a lot since moving to it and the wikis are excellent to learn from.
