trying out gnome

Hello,

I just finished installing gnone and gdm and when I try to login i get an error about how my last session was only 10 seconds long, perhaps something went wrong...blah.blah.blah. Then, in the xsession errors, I saw this:

/opt/gnome/etc/gdm/Xsession: cannot find Xclients
/opt/gnome/etc/gdm/Xsession: Setup done, will execute: /usr/bin/ssh-agent -- xsm
xsm: No such file or directory

no clue what this means. Help would be greatly appreciated

Re: trying out gnome

It means your missing xsm, the X Session Manager. Get xorg-xsm from pacman.
