Via Archlinux installed on an external usb hdd, I am unable to connect to the internet with a huawei usb modem E 153 .I followed the wiki and I get the following error : " can't use storage command in MessageContent with interface 0; interface class is 239, should be 8. Aborting ".
Can you please help ?

There are a bunch of Huawei-related pages in the wiki, see if there are any clues there.
Also, the very first result in a "linux huawei e153" google includes a very encouraging:
Getting the popular Huawei E153 modem working on Linux is easy.
so I'd have a look at that too.

carongangoo,
Could you do me a favor when you have a chance? Please edit your thread title and remove most of the capital letters. Thank you.

On the other operating systems, look at the output of lsmod for kernel modules relevant to the modem that might be missing from the lsmod output generated by Arch. I think you are missing a kernel module that might need to be built and installed. I am not near a machine that has the kernel source on it, so I cannot explore the default Arch kernel configuration until this evening.
