I'm using a dual monitor setup with my Thinkpad T30. It works fine in WindowsXP. And if I start X with
# startxThen I get the same view in both monitors.
But when I try with a different serverlayout, monitor number two stays black. X does start, and I the desktop has extended to monitor number two. It did work earlier with the same xorg.conf.
The log file says that no monitor #2 is found. It's connected and working fine.
Any idea what the problem might be?
I'm using Enlightenment 17-cvs.
Here is xorg.conf and xorg log file.

Pastebin or upload this stuff already, makes the thread really annoying to read and follow.

Have done som searching around without any result.
Does anyone have a working dual monitor setup that works?

The black screen thing is a known bug. Try the Xorg.conf from this one:
http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/4149
The interesting parts: the Virtual option in the modes, the MergedFB options and the MetaModes options. MergedFB has as advantage that it's faster than normal Xinerama and that it doesn't disable your ability to use DRI.

Have been testing the bug report xorg.conf without no luck yet.
Does anyone have an old xorg-server version? Version 1.0.1-4. I have cleaned out my cahce. I'll try to downgrade.
