USB 3 Drive keeps disconnecting randomly

Dont know what to do... every time I am trying to backup my system, my external harddrive randomly disconnects. I am using a 3TB USB 3 Drive from Western Digital (MyBook).  Weird thing is, it refuses to connect after this. I have to do a full reboot, otherwise dmesg does not update its log at all.

I can guess it has something to do with the SES Driver, but still the drive itself should still work, no?
Any Ideas?

dmesg after the crash:

Re: USB 3 Drive keeps disconnecting randomly

I don't have much of a solution, but here's a suggestion based on my experience. Is your external hard drive USB 2.0? I have had the same issue connecting my USB 2.0 Samsung Galaxy S3 to my laptop's USB 3.0 ports. It just randomly disconnects. It works fine when I use my laptop's USB 2.0 port, so that was my solution.

No, the hardrive itself also connects via USB 3.0..
