Ok, so I've finally decided to purge KDE4 away and go to plasma 5. I like Plasma, its working well, but something, and I don't know what, is trying to pull the package 'kdebase-workspace' back in, and its pretty much breaking all of my upgrades, because I can't remove kdeplasma-addons-frameworks because that's core to plasma 5, but I can't skip pulling kdebase-workspace because that creates conflicting packages.
What I need to know is how to find what package is trying to pull in KDE4, so I can remove it. However, I'm not really sure how to do that. Can someone give me advice for finding this package?

You can see the list of packages that directly need plasma-workspace here: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extr … workspace/
If you don't have anything on that list, it gets a bit more complicated.

It looks like the problem was the package group 'kdeplasma4-addons'
Hopefully I didnt need any of those, cause there were 72 packages removed. I can upgrade again though, so >_>

They are addons for KDE4 all of which can not be used on Plasma Next so you won't likely find something missing (except for the plasmoids that haven't been ported yet

That's what I was hoping for. Thanks for the help! ![]()
