Shouldn't Cairo depend on Glitz?

I just noticed the new version of Glitz in the repo, and realized that Cairo doesn't depend on it... shouldn't Glitz be a dependency of Cairo? I thought Cairo was supposed to do its stuff using OpenGL through Glitz... :?

I'm sure I don't know, but you could do some research on google and if you're correct file a bug report.

Re: Shouldn't Cairo depend on Glitz?

Here's what the Cairo website says...

Cairo is a 2D graphics library with support for multiple output devices. Currently supported output targets include the X Window System, win32, and image buffers. Experimental backends include OpenGL (through glitz), Quartz, XCB, PostScript and PDF file output.

The backend isn't specified in the PKGBUILD; however, Glitz backend can be specified at compile via the --enable-glitz option.

Yep. Glitz is just one of the many backends Cairo can use for rendering.
