Hi,
I'm trying out GNOME Software on Arch. I know it uses PackageKit and one thing does not seem right - I have one package in the IgnorePkg array in /etc/pacman.conf. pacman -Syu always ignores that one. I see that /etc/PackageKit/alpm.d/pacman.conf has a line:
Include = /etc/pacman.conf
So it should also tell PackageKit daemon to ignore that package update. However, I still get notifications of that particular package update in the Arch repo's.
A bug or misconfiguration?

Notifications and installations are two different things - pacman on its own will also give you notifications about ignored packages, it just won't install them.
Does GNOME Software actually update the ignored package?

Yes, it puts the package on the update queue.

Yup, I can confirm that packagekit via gnome-software completely disregards IgnorePkg and installs those ignored updates automatically anyway, which is obnoxious behavior. I guess it's time to file a bug.
