I've just completed the arch install for the first time.
When using Guake or Tilda letters overlap.
I'm using Droid sans as system font.
I've tried setting guake to use system font and also tried setting it to droid sans, both didn't help with the overlapping text.
In my normal terminal emulator everything is like it should be.

Are you using the Monospace counterpart to that font?
I think I know enough to know I don't know enough.

Yes I'm using Droid sans mono.

And it's specified in Guake and Tilda themselves, not just in the main system settings?

Yes specified in the settings of Guake, I've unchecked using system font.

That's really weird. Does it work if you use a different monospace font?

Switching fonts didn't work, I removed Guake and Tilda, removed their config files. Rebooted and reinstalled, now it displays normally.
Still don't know what went wrong, but thank you for your time.
