Messy Shutdown Text

Since a few months ago, my shutdown text hasn't been appearing neatly on the left of the screen.  I'm not exactly sure how to fix this or where to start.  Could anyone help me with this minor issue?

Re: Messy Shutdown Text

The only time I've had that I'm pretty sure it was a gfx driver problem. Are you using catalyst by aby chance? My problem went away when I switched to an NV card/

Re: Messy Shutdown Text

I have a laptop with Nvidia 750m and an Intel HD4600.  I tried disabling the discrete graphics card, but nothing changed.

It only happens when I shutdown after logging in.  If I shutdown from the login screen, it perfectly fine.
