[SOLVED] XFCE won't completely uninstall (?)

I'm very new to Arch, and most of what I know is based off of my step brother's trial and error. I installed xfce4 and everything, but I didn't have the dock for whatever reason. My step bro explains that there should be a "use default configuration" when you first open it, which I didn't remember seeing at all. I figured I might as well reinstall the whole thing, and have tried mulitple times, but each time it acts as though it was never uninstalled, with shortcuts still there and all that. I also screwed up the panel settings so that it fills up the whole screen (I'm stupid), and now I can't change the settings on it because it covers up the preferences. At any rate, I can't figure out how to completely get rid of every trace of xfce on my installation, and I really need to. I've seen people suggesting all kinds of different pacman stuff, like -Ru and -Rs, and they don't seem to help. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The configuration is stored in your home directory, which pacman will never touch. Try removing ~/.config/xfce4*

In other cases, 'pacman -Rn foo' could help.

Doesn't that only apply to files that are specified in the package (usually those in /etc)?
Files in users' homes are never touched by pacman.

Indeed, that's what I meant by 'In other cases'.
