buggy LSI adapter

Hi
I have an LSI SAS 9207-8I SGL Adapter, lspci shows it as

83:00.0 Serial Attached SCSI controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic SAS2308 PCI-Express Fusion-MPT SAS-2 (rev 05)

I have four WD Red 6Tb disks attached to it. They were configured as an mdadm RAID5, and the filesystem got corrupt somehow. I have tried changing the cable and the port on the controller, and the errors persist. Finally two disks got kicked out of the array: http://pastebin.com/Rc9JJgfk

smartctl shows a large number of UDMA_CRC errors for these disks:
199 UDMA_CRC_Error_Count    0x0032   200   190   000    Old_age   Always       -       31130
199 UDMA_CRC_Error_Count    0x0032   200   192   000    Old_age   Always       -       36459
199 UDMA_CRC_Error_Count    0x0032   200   185   000    Old_age   Always       -       45395
199 UDMA_CRC_Error_Count    0x0032   200   194   000    Old_age   Always       -       17365
At the same time there are no reallocated sectors.

The controller is an HBA, not a RAID one.

Can such a thing be related to the system (e.g., mpt2sas module that is responsible for this controller)? I would appreciate sharing of any experience with this or similar controller.

Most likely I need to contact LSI for a warranty replacement.
