Laptop freezes 1 in 10 times when going to suspend.

I am not even sure which logs to post. As far as I can tell, every now and then my new laptop doesn't go into suspend properly, the screen stays on and the conky clock tells me the time at which that happened. Then when I open the lid again it is just a frozen computer at the exact point it was trying to suspend. Obviously I don't notice it happening as the screen literally switches off when the lid is closed. Can anyone advise me where to look to find the solution here.
I am sure the first step is to post logs and info but I am not quite sure what is important here and a quick view of the journal doesn't find anything.
Thanks.

Hi kelceyswain, welcome to Arch.

Regarding logs, the journal entries from just before you tried to suspend, to just after you tried to resume would be ideal. Remember to use code tags when pasting output though.

When did this behaviour start? What was updated before it started?

Have you tried a different kernel (e.g. linux-lts)?

Re: Laptop freezes 1 in 10 times when going to suspend.

I have put the log covering closing the laptop lid last night and opening it this morning on pastebin.
This is a new laptop, a month old, and as far as I can work out it has been doing this every now and then since I got it fully working.
Thanks

edit: no I haven't tried a different kernel, but I am beginning to suspect it is a graphics thing, I have one of those Primus NVidia cards as well as the Intel one.
